Straight-talking startup consulting and coaching for small business owners who want results – fast
Hi – I’m David Craig White, and I provide small business consulting and coaching to SaaS founders, freelancers and small business owners.

Running a business is hard – whether you’re a one-man band trying to win your first customers, or a startup pushing to grow faster.
My small business consulting and coaching services give you the clarity and direction to move your business forward — and get results.
“David is the best sales and business coach I’ve come across. He helped me develop in areas I would’ve never imagined possible.”
Michael Rosetti – Co-Founder & CEO at The Social Adz
Why Work With Me as Your Business Consultant?
I’ve spent the last 20 years helping founders and small business owners grow faster, simplify operations, and increase revenue.
Along the way, I’ve helped companies like Trustpilot, Siteimprove, Dreamdata, and Falcon.io raise over $100 million in funding.
And I’ve done a pretty decent job in building my own business from scratch and creating a personal brand and reputation that puts food on the table.
But let’s be honest — that’s the flashy sales pitch. Here’s why people really hire me for small business consulting and coaching:
1. I’ve made the painful mistakes for you
It is no hidden fact that most small businesses and startups fail, and many of them do so because they make costly errors in the early stages.
Not only have I made many of these mistakes for you (you’re welcome), but I have also witnessed other founders and small business owners make them too.
So, you can learn the hard way, or you can put your hand in your pocket and pay a small price to avoid the mistakes others made for you.
2. I’ll tell you straight-up what sucks
If you’re like me or most of the business owners I know, you don’t want wishy washy feedback — you want someone to tell you the brutal truth.
You’re not an employee with the luxury of a safe, fixed salary — you’re an ambitious business owner who needs results yesterday.
And that’s exactly what comes in the box when you hire me for business consulting.
No sugarcoating. Just fair and brutal honesty and solid business advice.
I can provide more value in a couple of hours of business consulting than most fluffy business coaches can deliver in 6 months.
“David is a very skilled and experienced leader with profound knowledge of all aspects of GTM. I strongly recommend him as a very powerful leader who can create an impact where it matters.”
Michael Heiberg – Founder & CEO at Ocean.io
3. I can see things that you cannot
Most ambitious founders and business owners have one thing in common — they’re deeply embedded in (and borderline obsessed with) their business.
Sound familiar?
That’s when you put on what I call your ‘Business Blinkers’ — and switch into productivity mode.
It’s great for getting shit done. But it comes with one dangerous side effect:
You lose the ability to spot the problems that are slowing you down — or quietly killing your business.
As your business consultant, I’m not buried in your day-to-day.
That gives me a bird’s-eye view — and the superpower to spot the shit that’s slowing you down before it wrecks your business.
Sometimes you’re paying me for my experience.
Other times, you’re paying me to say the stuff nobody else will.
It might be hard to hear. But not as hard as shutting your business down because nobody told you.
4. Extensive experience with technology and process
I’ve been glued to a PC screen since I was 12 — and I wasn’t playing shoot’em ups.
I’ve been obsessed with technology and strategy for as long as I can remember, and have spent over 15 years of my career working with tech startups.
This means I have experience with and knowledge of software that most small business owners have never heard of — and that’s a powerful edge to have.
Technology isn’t the answer to every problem — but it can dramatically improve your business flows and processes when used in the right way.
5. I love getting my hands dirty
Most small business consultants are happy to take your money, tell you what you should change and wait for you to get back to them when you’ve done it.
That’s not what you’re getting here.
I love getting paid (don’t we all), but I’m more interested in rolling up my sleeves, solving real problems, and helping you grow faster.
When I work together with clients, my hours are often split between doing calls with them and also me helping them execute on tasks.
That doesn’t mean I’m going to sit doing your bookkeeping, but there are many other tasks I can help you execute so we can get results faster.
“This guy gets the job done! David has been instrumental to eMagCreator’s success in many ways. Not only did he optimize workflows, dashboards and metrics in Salesforce, but also systemized and LEAN’ed the whole sales process.”
Ebbe Nygaard | Sales Director (DACH) | eMagCreator
Right — that’s my pitch (or at least some of it).

Consulting Services for Small Businesses
If you’ve never hired a sales consultant or coach before, you probably have a lot of questions about if and how they can help you.
I have extensive experience on the commercial side of business, but also have very strong skills on the technical and operations side.
So, here’s a detailed list of some of the roles I play when hired as a coach and consultant for small businesses and startups:
Startup Consultant
As a business startup consultant, I provide support and advice to entrepreneurs and startups who are looking to grow their businesses.
I don’t get involved with advising on things like company formations or early-stage financing, but I will gladly help to review and improve your business plan.
Business Growth Consultant
Mastering how to grow my business was hard as hell. I made many mistakes along the way, lost a lot of sleep and burnt a ton of cash.
But I loved every minute and learnt so much.
Helping businesses grow is by far one of my core offerings, with many of my past clients focused on the growth and expansion of the business.
If you already have some customers but want to expand the business, book us in for a free consultation because we might just be the perfect fit.
Business Process Improvement Consultant
The role of a business process improvement consultant is to evaluate, optimise and improve the structure and organisation of your business.
This might include implementing a simple sales process structure, optimising your CRM or aligning your sales and marketing processes and tools.
Having done this for 20+ years as a commercial leader and consultant for tech startups, I can whip business processes and structure into shape in no time.
“After several years of working together, David still managed to exceed my expectations when hired as a business consultant. His experience with sales and all processes involved, combined with his technical knowledge on leading platforms like Marketo and Salesforce, has made David our prime choice for keeping our sales processes lean and effective.”
Martin André Jønck – Co-Founder & CEO at eMagCreator
Sales Process Consultant
Similar to the role of a business improvement consultant, the role of a sales process consultant is to help create, optimise and automate sales, marketing and lead generation processes.
Many small businesses wing it in the beginning, which is fine until you start thinking about how to grow your business and generate predictable results.
When working as a sales process consultant, I can help you map out and optimise your entire sales process from initial customer interaction to customer renewals.
Other Ways I Can Help
Of course, consulting isn’t always about growth strategy or sales process optimisation.
Sometimes you just need help with the stuff that keeps the engine running — the operational tasks, systems, and decisions that free up your time and stop you spinning plates.
That’s why, when you hire me as your business consultant, I can also help with things like:
- Go-to-Market Planning & Execution
- Website Design & Review
- AI SEO Consulting
- Content Strategy
- SEO Copywriting & Messaging Clarity
- Product-Market Fit & Pricing Strategy
- Sales Training
- Sales Coaching
- Sales Recruitment Support
- Leadership Development & Mentoring
- CRM Setup & Optimisation (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
“David is a strong commercial leader with fantastic empathy and a great personality who develops people, teams and leaders by investing time in understanding where they are, what their potential is and empowering them to take full advantage of their talent – aligned with the company objectives and a no BS attitude.”
Jesper Lindhardt – President & COO at Ocean.io
Business Consulting Costs
And now to the big question – How much does a sales consultant cost?
Obviously, I have no idea what you need help with, and even if I did, it’s not always easy to estimate how much time these things take.
So, I work with a model where all new clients start with a block of 10 hours of sales consulting for £1,800 GBP.
No more. No less.
This allows us to evaluate working together and makes it easier for me to estimate the overall size of the project at hand.
This is payable in full, upfront (I start work when the invoice is paid), and the hours can be spread over 12 months.

Common Questions About Sales Consulting
Most small business owners are too close to their business to see what’s slowing them down. A sales consultant like me helps you spot the problems, simplify what’s complicated, and put a plan in place to get results faster.
If you want advice, clarity, and a plan—you need a consultant.
If you want someone to hold you accountable—you need a coach.
With me, you get both.
When you’re stuck, overwhelmed, or just tired of guessing. Most people wait too long and burn more cash trying to fix it alone.
All of the above. I work with one-person businesses, growing startups, and small teams who need no-nonsense advice to move forward.
I sell time, not bullshit. You start with 10 hours for £1,800 upfront. No hidden costs.
