Anger Management
Although it’s not commonly listed alongside other mental health problems, anger issues, in my opinion, definitely should be.
If left untreated, anger issues can lead to other mental health problems such as stress, anxiety and depression.
I know this because I’ve been through it myself.
I struggled with anger issues throughout my childhood right through to my adult life. But one day I got hit with a reality I’d love to help you or anyone else avoid.
I watched in horror as my 4-year-old son mirrored my behaviour.
Watching my son lose his temper and struggle with his post-rage emotions had a big impact on my own mental health.
I blamed myself, knew my wife blamed me, and I fell into a dark hole of depression.
Luckily for me, I had the self-awareness to realise my issues. Through my working knowledge as a coach and a professional psychologist, I managed to turn my life around and free myself from the control of my anger.
Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not claiming to be completely free from losing my temper these days, but I have got much more control over it.
I lose my temper much less frequently now and can even struggle to get angry these days when I try to do so.
What is Anger Management Coaching?
Anger management coaching is a confidential one-to-one meeting between an individual (you) and a professional coach (me).
In this meeting, we will discuss your anger issues and work together on raising your awareness of where they come from and how you can control them.
Coaching is all about me asking you lots of questions that will lead to you self-discovering the solutions to how to control your temper.
I will provide you with various tools, resources and ongoing support but it’s down to you to put in the legwork and make the change.
Why Choose me as your Anger Management Coach?
I am a qualified professional coach with various diplomas and certifications in areas such as; CBT, NLP and mental health areas such as stress and depression.
Coaching and helping people is my passion, and I have delivered more than 1,000 hours of one-to-one coaching during the past decade to people with various challenges and goals.
“Brother, you’ve cured me already. Instead of hurting people, I’m going to help them take one on the chin instead of laying them out. You’re a miracle worker.”
Curtis D from Sheffield
My coaching style offers a flexible and diverse mix of focusing on the past, present and future to try and get to the root cause of your anger issues.
I’m not a medical professional, therapist or psychologist, but I do understand the value of using various approaches to talking therapy and can apply these to you if needed.
You can expect me to be 100% supportive, completely non-judgemental, down-to-earth, honest, direct, and firm but fair.
You’re going to be asked a lot of questions in each session, and I will challenge your opinions. I will also invite you out of your comfort zone and hold you accountable for yourself, your actions and your goals.
My Coaching Process
Before taking you on as a client, I recommend booking a free 30-minute consultation call.
In this call, we can get to know each other a little better, you can decide if you like me, and I can decide if I can help you.
Once we’ve agreed on which of my coaching plans works best for you, you’ll get access to my private client calendar, where you can book your first coaching session.
Where are the coaching sessions held?
Most of my coaching is done over the telephone as my clients are spread across the UK and Europe.
Telephone coaching allows me to keep my coaching fees low and also gives my clients much more flexibility to book and re-schedule sessions without me having to charge any cancellation fees.
How long do the sessions last?
Your first coaching session may last longer, but ongoing sessions will normally last for about 60 minutes.
Some of my clients prefer to have a set time and date every month, whereas others prefer to schedule their coaching sessions on an ad-hoc basis.
I’m flexible either way. However, consistency in your sessions will always deliver the best results.
How many sessions will you need?
I don’t yet know enough about you or your situation to estimate how many sessions you’ll need.
We’ll both have a better idea of how many sessions and what frequency works for you after your first couple of sessions.
I always recommend new clients start with at least two sessions in the first month because the initial sessions can go quite fast.
How much does anger management coaching cost?
My rates for anger management coaching range from £80 to £120 per session, depending on how many sessions are booked in advance.
